The Power of Compassion

Today I came across this video and it’s true story….few year back I guess in 2011 or 12 – I met this lady name Sindhutai Sapkal in one Award ceremony. She is much more than just a name. The 70-year-old lady hides many stories behind her strong personality. Full of energy and passion, Sindhutai is commonly referred to as “Mother of Orphans”. Please do watch video to know her full story. Lady full of compassion.

Having compassion, which is the ability to understand the emotional state of another person and then want to alleviate their suffering, makes us feel connected and part of a group. It gives us purpose and it grounds us. Without compassion we are bound to feel alone.

Every day we have an opportunity to change someone’s life by paying attention to their needs. Every day someone else has the opportunity to change our lives for the same reason. The human experience is based on exchange and connectedness. If people become more compassionate like Sindhutai, I guess world will become better place.

Thank you for watching and reading💕

Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference. ~Winston Churchill I believe that life is beautiful, one should enjoy it and stay positive. This blog is about being positive and curious about mystery of mankind. Someone truly said expand your thoughts and you will enlarge your world. Follow this blog to see positive side of every aspect. It's about encouraging people to try out new pattern of thinking. Little about myself, With Ten years of experience as Television Producer, I started my career as an independent documentary filmmaker...I worked in television industry for decade....took break from industry when I delivered baby in 2015. One fine day I thought to write letter to my husband in which I wrote him how I see life....in the evening when he came home and instead of discussing letter part he asked me to start writing...as he thought I can express myself more in writing rather then as person. I thought blogging is out of box idea... The truth is, cheesy as it sounds, the internet has changed our lives. And now I can share my thoughts with whole world :)

  1. What a beautiful and inspiring experience! Sadly, I feel compassion is decreasing in this me first world. More people are only concerned about themselves. However, experiences like this give me hope that there are still people out these that put others first and it’s beautiful. She mimics the qualities of Jehovah God who is described in the holy scriptures as “merciful, compassionate, slow to anger and abundant in loyal love” (Psalms 103:8) Thank you for sharing!
