Painting can help your children communicate their emotions or feelings. Through the use of different colors, they can express themselves without the use of words. Painting allows children an educational opportunity that is also fun and exciting. I always encourage my little one to paint whatever she wants.
Kyaraa wanted to do some painting activity. She loves paints, bright colours and whenever she has nothing to do, she asks me for brush and paints.
We stay in an apartment in Mumbai, which has a small gallery too.
I was thinking to get some beautiful plant pots since a while as the pots which we have are the ugly black and brown pots. I thought why not paint the pots today itself creatively and add to the gallery garden’s beauty.
Thatβs when we both decided to paint our own pots. We ended up creating a lot of mess but as we all know to make a masterpiece, a little bit of mess is the first requirement !!! Kyaraa really enjoyed this activity, and results were amazing.

Art is the perfect messy fun for kids and makes for ideal sensory play. My 3 and half year love using brush and play with Colors. I love to watch her painting. I see a fully engaged child when she paints.
Painting is a way for children to do many important things: convey ideas, express emotion, use their senses, explore color, explore process and outcomes. Here is some messy art by my little Picasso.
